Samsung TV Won’t Connect to Wi-Fi
Samsung TVs require a Wi-Fi connection to download content online. Unfortunately, the smart TV can fail to connect to Wi-Fi when you least expect it. When that happens, it loses its value unless you have access to an Ethernet connection.
If the router is too far from your listening room, you might have no option other than to fix the Wi-Fi problem. You might be required to do the same if your Ethernet connection can’t work or serve you well for any other reason.
Once you notice that your Wi-Fi won’t work, you should follow the steps below to troubleshoot and fix it.
- Check whether your WIFi Network is congested: If other devices connected to the network are working well, disconnect one or more. If that fixes the issues, you were a victim of a congested network.
- Soft reset your TV. Unplug your TV from the power outlet, wait for about a minute, plug it back in.
- Confirm the Network’s strength: Use a reliable website to test your Wi-Fi’s download and upload speed. If it’s below 5 Mbps, you are likely a victim of weak internet. Remove signal blockages and interferences. If that fails, you can reach out to your Internet Service Provider for help.
- Power recycle the WIFI router and the TV: If the above steps don’t apply, reboot these devices to fix minor software bugs or memory issues. Once the two devices have fully rebooted, try reconnecting to the Wi-Fi network and see whether you’ve solved the problem.
- Update your TV firmware: Ensure your TV’s operating system is up-to-date. Consult your user manual for model-specific ways to do this.
- Contact Samsung customer support: If your Samsung TV doesn’t connect to your Wi-Fi network at this point, you could be a victim of advanced software or hardware issues. Ask Samsung customer support for professional guidance.
Samsung TV Black Screen Issue
Almost all smart TVs often experience the black screen issue, and Samsung TV is not exempted. It could be a sign that something is seriously damaged. However, in most cases, minor problems cause the screen to turn black.
Here are the steps you should follow to troubleshoot this issue fast:
- Check for a defective connection: An inadequate connection between your video devices and your smart TV is the most probable cause. Replace the cables you’ve connected to your television and see what that’s all you should do to fix it.
- Check power cables: Your screen requires high power to emit adequate light. It would be best to replace your power cables or use a different power outlet. If you suspect there’s a problem with the amount of power you receive from the outlet, ask a certified electrician to test whether that’s right.
- Turn off Eco Solution(if applicable). To turn it off, go to Settings>General>Eco Solution>Auto Power Off>Select Off.
- Select the right source(if applicable). Select the source that you know is sending signals to the TV. Most of the time it should be set to a TV source. To do that, go to Settings>Source>TV.
- Take the TV to an authorized repair center: If the above steps fail, one or more of your TV’s capacitors might be faulty. You might also be a victim of other advanced issues. Call the right person to diagnose and fix this kind of issue.
Samsung TV Isn’t Installing Apps
Sometimes, you might be shocked to learn that your TV isn’t installing your favorite apps. Outdated software is a significant cause of this. Software bugs are other essential culprits. If you realize that the TV isn’t installing your apps, you should do this:
Cold boot the TV: You should let your TV start from a complete shutdown. To do this right, you should:
- Long press the remote’s power button until the television turns off and then on.
- Unplug the TV from your power source and then wait for at least 30 seconds. After that, plug it in again.
Check for updates for the TV Firmware: If the app is still not installed after this, it’s likely not compatible with your TV’s firmware.
You should update the firmware by following the steps below to fix this issue.
- Navigate to Settings and go to Support.
- Go to Software Update.
- Click on Update Now.
- Wait for a few seconds as the TV checks for and automatically downloads updates.
- Ensure your Samsung TV installs the updates.

Samsung TV Has No Sound
Samsung TV has no sound is another major issue that can puzzle you. To fix it, you should start with the basics and then proceed to more complex solutions, if necessary.
- Check mute or volume: Press the mute button and see whether that’s enough to fix the sound issue. Also, check the volume setting. It shouldn’t be too low.
- Unpair Speaker or Bluetooth headset: Find out whether you’ve paired the speaker or Bluetooth headset to the TV. If that’s the case, go to the Audio Settings and unpair it. Alternatively, turn the headset off.
- Cold Reboot: Use the same tips we’ve seen above to do this. Don’t put the TV on standby by pressing on the device or remote.
- Check cable connections: If the problem persists after you’ve cold rebooted the TV, your cable connections could be faulty. This is most likely the case if you use an external device such as a gaming console. Replace the cables to find out whether the old ones are faulty.
- Adjust HDMI Settings and Codec. If you use the TV as a computer monitor, ensure the computer’s HDMI setting designates your Samsung television as the default audio output. You should also ensure you are playing a video rendered with an approved, recognized codec. Samsung TVs have a wide assortment of audio and video codecs, so you’ll rarely need this last tip. However, it would be best if you didn’t hesitate to check the codec.
- Contact an Authorized Repair Center: This is often the last option, but you should use it if the problem happens when watching your content from any streaming device. It might mean that some hardware components of your TV have malfunctioned. To troubleshoot this, connect the television to a set of headphones or external speakers. Your audio IC chip could have malfunctioned if you didn’t detect the sound. An authorized repair center will diagnose whether either of these is the underlying cause of the sound issue and fix it.
Samsung TV Sound Keeps Cutting Out
If the sound keeps cutting out, you should find the real cause of the problem and then use the right tricks to fix it. Some common issues are Anynet setting on, software hitches, and faulty cable. Here are the steps to fix this issue:
Check Anynet setting: Here is how you can set the Anynet setting off:
- Press Menu on your remote.
- Select General.
- Choose External Device Manager.
- Select Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC).
- Choose Enter and Off.
Replace cables: If your cables can’t transmit audio signals correctly, the sound may cut from time to time. So, it would help if you replaced it.
You should do the following if the previous steps fail:
- Power recycle. Use the same steps we saw above. It will fix lots of software hitches.
- Unplug your headset from the TV.
- Fix internet issues as we saw above.
- Call a professional.
Samsung TV Remote Control Isn’t Working
In rare cases, you can find that your Samsung TV isn’t working. To be sure whether your remote is faulty, you should:
- Press the Power button.
- Check whether the TV’s power indicator blinks.
- If the indicator doesn’t blink, replace the batteries.
- Press the Power button and see whether you’ve fixed the issue.
- If the remote isn’t working still, replace it or try the next st
Reset your remote:
- Remove the batteries from your remote.
- Unplug the TV from the wall.
- Wait 60 seconds.
- Plug the TV back in.
- Wait till the TV comes back on.
- Put the batteries back in the remote, see if it worked.
Samsung TV Won’t Turn On
Your Samsung TV can refuse to turn on if there is a problem with the power source or the built-in surge protector. Obstruction blocking the IR signal port and interferences from electronic devices like fluorescent lights can also be a big problem if you use a remote.
To fix this, you should replace your power cables and ensure your TV’s surge is in the correct working order. You should also remove obstructions and interferences.

Samsung TV Keeps Turning On and Off
If Samsung TV keeps turning on and off, your device may be damaged. It’s also possible that you only need to update it. If you don’t know the cause, here are the steps you should follow:
- Unplug the TV and leave it for 30 seconds.
- Replace the power cord that suits your TV model.
- Plug the power cord from the wall outlet.
- Update the software.
- Use the mobile option to disable the Power On. Alternatively, go to Settings, General. Network, Expert Settings, Power On with Mobile, and then turn off the setting.
- Set up a service request. Do this as a matter of last resort.
