How To Fix No Sound Issue On Your Vizio TV?

When the sound goes out on your Vizio TV, it can get frustrating. It often happens when you are in the middle of one of your favorite shows, which can leave you scrambling to get the sound back. 

Turning it back on for your TV does not need to be difficult. Some of the steps include:

1. Check The Volume

Sometimes the remote will set the volume down to zero. You need to check to see if this is the problem or not. 

Simply click the up and down buttons on the remote to see where the sound is. This helps you figure out if the volume is muted or at zero and is a simple way to fix the process. 

Try turning the volume up on the TV and not the remote.

If you have a Cable or Satellite box, make sure that the audio is turned up and not muted within that box.

2. Check The TV Speakers

Once you have checked the volume and made sure it was not at zero or mute, it is time to check the speakers.

You want them to be on, not auto.

  1. Using the Vizio remote, you will press the Menu button. 
  2. Use the arrow keys to help you highlight Audio Settings or Audio. Click OK.

3. Check The Connecting Cables

When the cables are not securely connected, you may not be able to hear the right sounds from the TV.

8. Power Cycle your TV

This is a simple, yet quite effective way to fix some of the software glitches that your TV might have had.

  • Turn the TV off.
  • Unplug your TV from the wall.
  • Press and hold the “Power” button on the side of the TV for 5 seconds(or on the remote).
  • Plug the TV back in.
  • Power the TV back on.

9. Factory Reset your TV

Why Does My Vizio TV Keep Losing Sound?
